I've seen some applications which have a single "properties inspector" window, which gets populated with tabs for the different types of properties for a given drawing object this seems to help with the clutter and proliferation of windows.Īll things considered, this is probably the best software purchase I've made in years. My only suggestion to improve the ease-of-use for the application is to think some more about all the different inspector windows for the properties of drawing objects, such as line width, colors, etc. By using this application rather than hiring a landscape architect, we literally saved thousands of dollars! I was even able to export a full-size PDF, then send the plan to Staples for full-size color printing. We're so fortunate to have found this software! Although there is a bit of a learning curve, this software allowed us to create a very professional looking drawing with ease-of-use that is similar to a drawing application, rather than a complicated CAD program. Our HOA was faced with either hiring a landscape architect for potentially thousands of dollars, or attempting the drawing ourselves. The city needed detailed, professional looking scale drawings to support the project.

Would you rate such a wordprocessor with even a single star? I would giv this program zero stars were that possible. To me it would be like a word processor not permitting you to change the type face or the unlining or bonding of the words in your document after you typed those words. For example, I when I draw a line or an object (like a rectangle) down and then select it, the program no longer allows me to change the weight of the line (or the rectangle). It seems that this prgram is being dumbed down. My prior drawing program was Corel Draw which I preferred over Easy Draw but Corel Draw was no longer suppored on the Mac and I could “make do” with Easy Draw 3.

It’s like an alien spaceship you know can do neat things, but you will never understand HOW TO FLY IT.
As a long time Illustrator and professional CAD user (which this does not pretend to be), I find the learning curve insurmountable. You will be VERY frustrated seeing the apparent capability but not being able to do it yourself.

There is no way you can create these nice items without first spending HOURS reading the 300+ page manual or delving into endless experimentation. Take for examples the five preview panels here in the App Store description (at the top here - the magenta bug illustration, the technical drawing, math and map etc). Everest and will force many to give up and uninstall, as I certainly will.
BUT here is the problem - and it is a BIG PROBLEM: The learning curve is the size of Mt. This App appears to have a huge spectrum of capabilities at a low price it is obviously created by graphics experts.
